UPDATE: Prof Michel Chossudovsky at Global Research wrote about NATO and U.S. involvement on March 7th 2011. He wrote about how they were fermenting a fake revolution with well armed mercenaries and how they had mercs and US troops on the ground in Libya as far back as Feb. 24th 2011. He shows that it was their intention to create so much strife as to justify a UN military intervention. The following is from DEBKA File Feb. 25th 2011:
“(Feb. 24th 2011) Hundreds of US, British and French military advisers have arrived in Cyrenaica, Libya’s eastern breakaway province, debkafile’s military sources report exclusively.
The advisers, including intelligence officers, were dropped from warships and missile boats at the coastal towns of Benghazi and Tobruk Thursday Feb. 24, for a threefold mission:
1. To help the revolutionary committees controlling eastern Libyan establish government frameworks for supplying two million inhabitants with basic services and commodities;
2. To organize them into paramilitary units, teach them how to use the weapons they captured from Libyan army facilities, help them restore law and order on the streets and train them to fight Muammar Qaddafi’s combat units coming to retake Cyrenaica.
3. To prepare infrastructure for the intake of additional foreign troops. Egyptian units are among those under consideration”
Our forces have been there since the beginning. When I wrote that the Libyan “rebels” looked NOTHING like the pro-democracy revolution in Tunisia and Egypt and Bahrain and Yemen… I was absolutely correct. These are not rebels, they are mercenaries hired by outside forces and being used to create the ILLUSION of a revolution so that the U.S. and France and Britain can force yet another regime change.
Libya is positioned directly between Tunisia on the west and Egypt on the east. If allowed to continue under Gadhafi or allowed to develop it’s own, legitimate revolution, then a powerful block would develop on the tip of Africa that the US and other globalist nations would have no control over. Libya has about twice the oil reserves as the US and they represent a great deal of economic power.
Also notice that part of the operation is to control how the Libyans set up the government after Gadhafi is gone.
—————————
Last night, while the MSM was busy focusing on Japan (regardless of what Mike Rivero tells you, it’s on the front page of every single web news site, and it’s wrong, over-hyped, and misleading), the U.N. at the behest of the United States, France, Britain, and Italy passed a resolution calling for military strikes against Libyan forces and also froze the assets of the nationalize oil company and their state-run central bank system.
Immediately Libya recognized the threat and announced that they were halting all military activity. They did this so the U.S. and her new “Coalition of the Craven” would have no justification for attacking Libyan forces at will like they intended to do anyway.
Now the fake “Tweets” from PR firms like Burson-Marstellar are flying and the accusations are mounting and soon enough the Pentagon Personas will have us bombing targets in Libya and forcing yet another regime change in the Middle East.
There are those who would have you believe that the US is doing the right thing this time around. The usual suspects come to mind like John McCain and “Fightin” Joe Lieberman. They weighed in on the side of more war as they often do this time right along side another sickening globalist, John Kerry.
But surprisingly we also seem to have several “dissident” sites beating the war drums as well. Gordon Duff, the obvious disinfo agent who helped Dimitri whatshisname sell his ridiculous “Three Atomic Bombs took out the Towers” theory, he comes to mind.
So let’s take a little look at the recent history of Libya and Israel and see what is what?
July 10th 2010 - Libyan aid ship sails for Gaza
Feb 11th 2011 - Gaddafi tells Palestinians: revolt against Israel
Feb 17th 2011 - “Day of rage” small “revolution” in Libya with “businessmen” and young academics. They are seen holding a flag of the previous regime of Libya, a monarchy supported by the British and the Americans who took control of the oil reserves. Sounds a lot like the fake “Green Revolution” in Iran.
Feb. 22nd 2011 - Big story about Libyan forces using military planes to attack opposition forces. Turns out, it was a lie.
Feb. 24th 2011 - US and NATO forces land in Libya to “assist” the fake “rebels” with stirring up enough hostility to create a pretext for the UN and globalist nations to justify an invasion and regime change.
Mar 1st 2011 - Russia Today announces that the Russian military had been monitoring Libya from satelite and they didn’t see any attacks.
Mar 1st 2011 - Gates and Mullen BOTH confirm the story was bullshit…
Q: Do you see any evidence that he actually has fired on his own people from the air? There were reports of it, but do you have independent confirmation? If so, to what extent?
SEC. GATES: We’ve seen the press reports, but we have no confirmation of that.
ADM. MULLEN: That’s correct. We’ve seen no confirmation whatsoever
Mar 3rd 2011 - Gordon Duff parrots an Israeli article that claims Israel sent mercenaries to fight with Libyan forces. The ONLY source as proof that the mercenaries are fighting FOR Gadhafi… is the pro-Israel newspaper that reported the story in the first place. Gordon Duff runs with the story as if it is gospel truth.
Mar 6th 2011 - MI6 and British SAS forces detained by Libyans while trying to meet-up with opposition forces with weapons and explosives. It’s a typical disruption mission where globalist countries like Britain and the U.S. get small groups of terrorists inside targeted nations to start a “revolution”. This time, they got caught.
Mar 17th 2011 - BENJAMIN NETANYAHU, PRIME MINISTER OF ISRAEL calls for the removal of Gadhafi on Piers Morgan show
Mar 17th 2011 - UN votes for no fly zone and other military action in Libya targeting Gadhafi’s regime. They also freeze the assets of the central bank and the nationalized oil company.
Mar 18th 2011 - Israeli defence minister Ehud Barak praises the UN move

thanks for this synopsis. i have not kept up on the libya events and welcome your perspective. once you see exactly who is on the side of “war! war! and more war!” it makes it easier to figure out what’s going on.
I’m glad someone else is bringing up the ‘reported’ 50,000 Israeli paid for mercenaries. It was the worst of the BS disinfo.
The Japan situation is certainly overhyped but I think it remains to be seen just how much.
Yeah, I think that and the pretend air-strikes were probably the worst of it. Turns out I just found a Chusodovsky article about NATO and US boots on the ground as far back as early Mar. I am adding that as an update. Global Research really does good work most of the time.
(side note: how’s your musician friend, Kenny? Hope everything is alright)
Thanks for asking. He’s doing OK but not great. The staples in his skull from surgery are supposed to come out Mon.
However crazy they want to paint him, I still like him better than I do any of our chickenshit coalition leaders-(“No, I’m not in Venezuela. Here I am, right here.”).
Still, they’re probably going to track him down and hang him, just like they did with Saddam-maybe even with the same rope.

Obviously Scott Creighton is revealing himself as a front for the vast “neoliberal” conspiracy led by the great and powerful demagogue of our time, Ron Paul. Just like the sinister, elite-funded Congressman, Creighton is opposed to Obama’s planned humanitarian war for the people of Libya. Read the evil Paul’s words and see for yourself that Creighton and his “neoliberal” Master, Ron Paul, are just two peas in the same pod:
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/functions/printfriendly.php?article=1369
except that Ron Paul supports attacks on “big government”, talks about privatizing public education, promotes the mythology of the “free markets”, betrays the Truth Movement when it’ suits him.. and various other tiny little differences… sure, I’m exactly the same as Ron paul… oh yeah, I never belonged to a party (the Libertarian Party) who runs a think tank (Cato institute) who hired Augusto Pinochet’s favorite neoliberal economic adviser … there’s THAT little difference as well….
and why is the word neoliberal in quotation marks? Are you trying to suggest neoliberals don’t exist?
For anyone who has any doubts just Google it. Or read Shock Doctrine or check out the Wiki page.. I can understand how a libertarian Ron Paul troll would rather you didn’t seeing as how you will see neoliberalism is Milton Friedman/Alan Greenspans/Neocon economic philosophy… and it just so happens that it is the exact same economic philosophy as the Libertarian Party.

Oh, you can’t fool your readers so easily, willy! That’s just a ruse to try distance yourself from your real boss, that great puppetmaster of American politics, Ron Paul!
Just admit the truth and spare yourself the embarrrassment.
“and why is the word neoliberal in quotation marks? Are you trying to suggest neoliberals don’t exist?

Neoliberalism is a broad, essentially meaningless umbrella term (e.g. cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoliberalism ) — which is why Paul-operative willy loves it so. Then he can conflate all manner of people over the generations as though they’re one. It’s as if someone used the word “progressive,” then gamely tried to blame Theodore Roosevelt, David Rockefeller, Ralph Nader, David Ray Griffin, and Barack Obama for one anothers’ deeds.
Indeed, hilariously, one of the Wikipedia article’s names used is Alan Greenspan. The same inflationist Greenspan who headed the Federal Reserve, forcing the extreme lowering of interest rates for decades. That’s supposed to be exemplary “neoliberalism.” Then Ron Paul, whose name doesn’t appear in the article (you might find it under “Libertarianism,” by the way), and who was the main public critic of Greenspan for his particularly coercive, mercantilist manipulations of banking and monetary policy, is endlessly denounced as “neoliberal” by willy.
But meaningless guilt-by-association is willy’s specialty. Look how he ties together the Libertarian Party with the (Koch brothers-founded and financed) Cato Institute, though they’re completely separate organizations. (Ooh, some people who’ve been involved with one have had some connection with the other.) Oh, and all that had something to do with someone who advised CIA-installed Augusto Pinochet! (Federal Reserve enthusiast Milton Friedman, perhaps? If so, he never worked for the Cato Institute, unless you count him among the thousands of people who have given lectures there. There aren’t many policy institutes in the Beltway where Friedman didn’t give a lecture.) Meanwhile, Ron Paul, whose U.S. Congressional primary opponent in 2010 was heavily funded by the Koch brothers, has only been invited to speak once or twice in the Cato Institute’s history.
But then why bother with little details when vague smears are the name of the game?
you would call neoliberalism “an umbrella term”… because it IS your goddamned economic philosophy.
But if you come from anywhere outside the US, anywhere where these Chicago School economist technocrats have spread their poison on the people and their economies, they know EXACTLY what it is.
It is specific and it is greed and it is pure LIBERTARIAN economic philosophy, and I am sick of you trolls coming here trying to spread your bullshit.
Go ahead and send some money to Ron so he can have his private plane to jet around raising money for a presidential campaign he probably wont even run for.
People here have outgrown RP and his fake revolution. it was as fake as the Green Revolution in Iran, and it is just as fake now.
His name is Jose Pinera, he worked for Pinochet neoliberalizing their country and then worked for the Cato Institute.
if you Google Libertarian think tank, guess what you get?
http://www.google.com/search?q=libertarian+think+tank&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
and who is on the board of directors?
David H. Koch, Executive Vice President, Koch Industries, Inc.
Kevin Gentry, Vice President for Strategic Development, Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation
and look who the CATO Institute gave the “The Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty”, an Iranian dissident who is trying to help ferment yet another fake Green Revolution in Iran.
You ever heard of the Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty?
Friedman never worked with the Cato institute? Really?
“Our first collaboration with Milton Friedman was to smuggle
his ideas behind the Iron Curtain, in our 1982 Polish book
Solidarity with Liberty and then in a 1985 Russian book
Friedman and Hayek on Freedom.”
“In 1988 Milton Friedman was the star of Cato’s
Shanghai conference, “Economic Reform in China,”
probably the first conference on free markets and
the rule of law ever held in the world’s most populous
country. Students and young intellectuals “followed
Friedman around like a rock star,”
The Board of Directors and staff of the Cato Institute are extremely proud that
through the Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty we will honor Milton
Friedman and the cause for which he labored so long for years to come.”
go spread your bullshit someplace else.

No matter how long the leaf stays up in the tree, it will fall one day, and this is the case with Gadaffi. I am a victim of his actions in my native Liberia. His so called method of uniting Africa was more divisive in my mind then uniting. Let him give opportunities to other educated and capable Libyans to prove themselves. The world must get rid of dictators in order to make earth a better place to live for everyone.
I want to thank France, the US, Great Britain, and their allies for taking prompt action in order to avoid another Rwanda.
Imagine this evil man making his intentions known that he was moving his troops to Benghazi to punish his own people that he referred to as rats and cockroaches. It would have been the bloodiest the world had ever seeing in human history.
Keep on the good work and do not be deterred by detractors and other jealous nations like Russia and China who are always in opposition to you. I am very proud of you all.
BRAVO
Morris (PYX) can you document ANYTHING you refer to?
Does your PYX refer to being a Catholic or the rock radio station in Miami ? Are you a displaced former wealthy land owner? Or wealthy company man?
omg wh0 cares
It is certainly plain to see that you don’t and didn’t care, nick. this post was in March of 2011…. where you been? and where you from? Not American….. you must a troller and just had some time on your money dirty hands so you just trolled by some old postings…. have fun
