Stop Giving Trump Credit for what the Koreans Accomplished

(Image from Sal – thanks)

You think his lies about that carrier group “steaming’ to North Korea frightened Un into surrender? How about all those failed Aegis Ashore tests? Truth is, we have seen this coming for YEARS and it has NOTHING to do with either Trump or Obama or Killary Clinton. It has EVERYTHING to do with their leadership and the peoples of Korea. All of them.

Korean Reunification or Killing Sunshine: Part One – Flashback to Flight 858 and the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul

by Scott Creighton

(the following is part one of a two part series on the current reunification effort taking place in Korea formerly known as the Sunshine Policy.)

What’s old may be new again.

Representatives from South Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) have met and agreed to allow a delegation from the DPRK to attend the upcoming Winter Olympics in South Korea next month. It is being reported they also may have begun negotiations to reopen their shared free trade zone and start to allow relatives separated by the split between the two Koreas to visit one another again.

Representatives from the DPRK wanted to broadcast live the entire meeting between the two sides but the South Korean delegation apparently didn’t want that much transparency so they only opened part of the discussion up to the press.

This website (American Everyman) has a long history of supporting the renewal of the Sunshine policy in Korea and calling out the powers of the Deep State in their long standing efforts to keep such a unification from ever happening.

Today, with the prospect of peace breaking out on the Korean peninsula so near, it’s appropriate to look back at the Deep State’s history of destabilizing and sabotaging previous efforts in the past.

Because if we have learned one thing over the years it’s that the Deep State isn’t very creative and can always be counted on snatch war out of the jaws of peace whenever possible… where ever possible. But don’t take my word for it. Here’s a neoliberal apologist for the Deep State voicing his opinion about how this will probably work out:

We know how this ends, even if that ending is so horrifying we dare not even think about it.

Unfortunately, if history is any indicator, we do know how this ends.

Cheonan Redux: South Korea Steps Up Provocation of North After a South Korean Land Mine Injures Two South Korean Soldiers

by Scott Creighton

South Korea appears to have been given the go-ahead to step up their provocation of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in these, the latter stages of President Peace Prize’s tenure.

Recent reports have the South Koreans lobbing artillery shells into North Korea supposedly in response to a “rocket attack” launched by the north. This is all confirmed by South Korea’s Defense Ministry.

The Press TV article, like every other one I have read, takes the claim of South Korea’s ministry at face value, not asking for any form of confirmation that the North did in fact commit an act of open aggression by firing a rocket into South Korea. In fact, the only article I can find with any details on that crucial aspect of this event only offers the following information:

South Korea said its detection equipment had spotted the trajectory of a suspected North Korean projectile launched at around 3:52 p.m. (0652 GMT), which did not appear to have damaged the loudspeaker or caused any injuries. Reuters

According to Reuters, the area around a military base where the rocket supposedly struck was evacuated of all civilian prying eyes, making it easier to plant evidence perhaps.

There have been no reports out of North Korea of either the rocket attack or the shelling.

Shades of Tonkin perhaps? Or better still, the PCC-772 Cheonan?

The Vegas Shooting – the “New World Order and Shit” and Other Dangerous Ideas

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: see several updates at the end of this article

——–

Years ago I wrote that when they decide to make that big leap from the slightly open society we have now to the totalitarian closed one we are destined for, one of the things they need to do is round up the dissidents in a very public manner so that not only are they out of the way, but so they will serve as an example of what happens to you when you think the wrong things.

You can see examples of this taking place right now in Egypt, Thailand and Ukraine. History is rife with examples. Look no farther than Indonesia when we installed Suharto or Chile after we installed Pinochet.

The most recent mass casualty event in the on-going American Gladio op took place in Vegas a few days ago. Two police officers and a woman shopping at WalMart tragically lost their lives. Was this simply a case of two bottom feeders going off? Was it part of a destabilization campaign designed to remake the country into something else? Was Cass Sunstein right about his “dangerous ideas” and the need to wipe them all off the interwebs or is someone helping him make his point as the new CISPA is about to be rolled out?

Let’s see.

Today’s Ridiculous Pro-Regime Change Propaganda – What’s Old is New Again

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: See the slick “I am a Ukrainian” video at the end of this article. It’s slightly better propaganda but just another KONY 2012 campaign. Again, nothing new.

————

As the real economy continues to shrink with jobs becoming even more scarce, it would appear there is one sector of the economy that is literally “booming” and that would be the “Ridiculous Pro-Regime Change Propaganda” industry.

With varying degrees of intensity, the regime change machine is up and running in six “unfriendly” nations which are all targets of our “freedom and democracy” agenda: Russia, North Korea, Syria, Thailand, the Ukraine and Venezuela. In some cases it’s simply a matter of setting the ground work for future calls for another “humanitarian intervention”. In others, bombs are exploding and bullets are flying with the body-count climbing fast and furious.

When sycophants get wind of a sea change, of a shift in the global tide of economic opportunism, they are rarely talented enough to generate the kinds of fresh ideas needed to set them apart from the gaggle of preening wannabees who surround them.

Everyone at this point understands that they can get ahead by jumping on the globalization bandwagon with some eye-catching propaganda that might make headlines for a minute or two and help our Peace Prize “winning” president justify another humanitarian bombing. The trouble is, these C+ guys by their own nature, aren’t the best and the brightest. They succeeded (if you wish to call it that) by sucking up to whomever they could, positioning themselves as the perennial Yesmen to whatever power structure they encountered.

Today, the lack of real creativity in this overstuffed field is evidenced by some rather stupid propaganda and stunt retreads being peddled out there as attempts to force regime change on several nations with the audacity to refuse to take part in our neoliberal for-profit central banking pyramid scheme known as “globalization”

Here’s a brief rundown:

Korean Talks Collapse After North Refuses To Apologize Or Admit To Recent Attacks

(Basically they wanted North Korea to admit to doing something that they didn’t do, ie. sinking the Cheonan. The JIG study has been proven to be wrong on many levels (even to the point of deliberate fraud on many aspects), the Russians and Chinese did their own investigation and concluded that it wasn’t sunk by a North Korean torpedo, and even the UN Security Council failed to level that charge against them. So basically, the South Koreans wanted the North to admit to something they didn’t do to cover their asses in world public opinion. Pretty petty putting that as a condition on these new peace talks; “admit to something you didn’t do, or there will be no peace”. Read “The Sinking of the Cheonan: We Are Being Lied To“)

from Business Insider

The first military talks between the Koreas in three years collapsed this morning when delegates from the North stormed out.

Details of the conflict are unclear, but South Korean officials say the North refused to accept the two conditions for a higher-level meeting, according to Voice Of America:

South Korea has insisted that North Korea must first apologize for the shelling of Yeonpyeong Island on November 23 and admit its responsibility for the sinking of a South Korean warship, the Cheonan, in March. North Korea denies any role in the Cheonan sinking and claims that South Korea provoked the Yeonpyeong incident.
