Trump Betrays his Base Again: Unleashes His Inner Globalist During Illegal Immigration Talk

by Scott Creighton

For two years this website has been warning it’s readers that President Trump is no populist. That his campaign rhetoric was a scam like the many others he ran back in the day when he was simply a silver-spooner businessman whose daddy gave him a fortune, a future and the fame he parlayed into a fake-reality TV show which was the only thing he really knew how to do: pretend to be a big time businessman.

Over the course of the past year, President Trump has flip-flopped on one campaign promise after another just like many other presidents before him. And just like all the others, the turn is always in the direction that favors neoliberal globalization. Obama did it. “W” did it. Clinton did it. Ever since “Poppy” Bush said “read my lips” those of us who are old enough to have heard his promise with our own ears have become tone deaf to the pleadings of wannabe leaders of all flavors.

Or at least we should have.

Whether it’s his promise to end ObamaCare in “the first day in office” or his non-interventionist foreign policy (“let Russia and Syria fight ISIS”) or his promise to “drain the swamp” and “lock her up”… there hardly seems to be a populist promise Donald Trump has made good on. Even his tax reform program served the interests of Big Business and the super rich at the expense of the middle class.

Trump has cut regulations making profits easier for Big Business. He has signed an executive order allowing Big Oil a free hand when it comes to their leaky pipelines. He has bombed a number of civilians overseas with the same drone program he used to criticize Obama for using. He opened the doors of the White House to Goldman Sachs to a degree that no president in the past has ever done. And he has stuffed billionaires into offices where they could undermine the government programs they are running like it’s going out of style even though we know that neoliberalism, the Washington Consensus, will never go out of style.

President Trump’s White House serves the interests of Big Business like few others have done in the past. You can put him right up there with Maggie Thatcher or Augusto Pinochet or Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton if you like. Wall Street indicators tell you his is a historically anti-populist administration. The stock market doesn’t rush to all-time highs when a real “man of the people” is in office, a political novice can tell you that.

With all of those betrayals of his base (and more) in the record books, perhaps the most ruthless and damning happened just yesterday with a mere 10 days left of his freshman year.

What Tucker Carlson Got Right and Wrong During his Expose on Illegal Immigrant Crime

Tucker Carlson misrepresented a new DOJ/Justice Department report on the population of the FEDERAL prison system last night. His breathless reporting on the numbers left viewers thinking the report reflected ALL SERIOUS CRIME in the US, not just that tried in the FEDERAL system which deals with about 10% of serious crimes committed yearly.

It is an important study and illegal immigrants are certainly committing a larger percentage of crime in this country than we have been told over the years but Tucker’s efforts last night will leave many thinking they commit far more of a percentage than they actually do.

Of course, it is impossible to tell because the state system still refuses to inform DOJ/Department of Justice when convicted person is here illegally so the numbers could actually be higher but the fact is, Tucker’s conclusions are invalid because the study only covers about 10% of major crime in the country.

Trump Supporters Being Told They Support Obama’s DACA Plan After All

by Scott Creighton

How many times have you seen a report on Fox or CNN talking about how Trump supporters SUPPORT his flip-flop on DACA? Here’s another one.

Donald Trump’s tough talk on illegal immigration was a big part of the reason Dave Hagstrom and many others in this booming Phoenix suburb supported him for president. “Walls make good neighbors,” Hagstrom said.

So when the president moved this week to cut a deal — with Democrats no less — to block the expulsion of 800,000 immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children, was Hagstrom disappointed?

Not at all.

“If you were to deport them, where would they go?” Hagstrom, 60, a car-warranty manager, asked on his way to a Bible-study dinner at an upscale shopping mall. “To send them across the border would be inhumane almost. There’s no life for them there.” LA Times

Big Business likes cheap labor that enjoys no workers’ protections. And Big Business tells the press what to write. So it’s not surprising they have decided to instruct Trump’s base that they too support the Dream Act provision of the 2007 Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill they have opposed since neoliberal neocons proposed it 10 or 11 years ago. And they damn sure opposed it when neoliberal centrist Obama proposed it 6 years ago.

Now all of a sudden we are supposed to believe everyone who opposed allowing Big Business to keep their 800,000 young slaves has changed their minds… because they think it would be “inhumane” to send them back to their country of origin since there is “no life” in Mexico.

Uh… yeah. Right.

This is just another example of what Mika B. was talking about a couple months ago when she said it was their job to “control what people think”

They figure if they tell Trump supporters enough times that OTHER Trump supporters back the president’s flip-flop and his siding up with corporate Dems to keep the 800,000 illegal immigrants in the country working on the cheap for Big Business, then eventually they will start to believe it.

You keep watching the news. That’s the trend now, the talking point memo they have all received. “Tell your viewers Trump supporters BACK his flip-flop and his working with the centrist Dems”

It’s not true, but I guess they think they can speak it into reality just like they figured they could speak Killary into the White House.

They still haven’t learned shit have they?

Trump Uses DACA “Crisis” to Push Bush’s Comprehensive Immigration Reform

The DREAMers are the “crisis”. Big Business is the victim. Comprehensive Immigration Reform is the solution. And it will all be brought to you by your populist President of Orange and his Goldman Sachs administration.

Trump Betrays Base AGAIN: Uses DREAMers to Push for Bush’s Comprehensive Immigration Reform

by Scott Creighton

In the fascist state, everything “we” (the government) do is for Big Business.

We illegally invaded Iraq for Big Business. We are “surging” in Afghanistan for Big Business. We “regime changed” Libya with terrorists for Big Business. We lie about and then sanction North Korea in order to benefit Big Business. We are trying to “regime change” Venezuela on behalf of Big Business. We are arming Saudi Arabia and helping them bomb the CIVILIANS in Yemen on behalf of Big Business. We are starting up the Cold War again on behalf of Big Business. And… we are about too see sweeping changes to our corporate tax codes in order to benefit Big Business.

And back during the Bush days (the same days we allowed Big Banking to undermine our economy so they could profit from it and we could use the crisis to further neoliberalise America and other Westernized nations in Europe PLUS started Big Business’ Global Free Market Wars) we tried our damnedest to push Comprehensive Immigration Reform down the throats of the American people which would benefit NO ONE other than Big Business.

The bill’s sole sponsor in the Senate was Majority Leader Harry Reid, though it was crafted in large part as a result of efforts by Senators Kennedy, McCain and Kyl, along with Senator Lindsey Graham, and input from President George W. Bush, who strongly supported the bill.

Cheap labor is the point of Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Cheap labor which benefits the profit margins of Big Business. Argue whatever the hell you want, but congress and Big Business don’t give a SHIT about displaced brown people from down south.  NAFTA and a slew of brutal regime change operations and a host of bloodthirsty dictators serving Big Business’ interests prove that point BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT.

They tried to push Comprehensive Immigration Reform on us again under the left cover of President Peace Prize but again, the American people rejected it. And the American people rejected it for good reason.

So, President Obama resorted to using an executive action to pass PART of Bush’s Comprehensive Immigration Reform, the DREAM Act. That’s the same “progressive” DREAM Act that was originally cobbled together by “progressive” thinkers like John McCain, Lindsey Graham and George W. Bush (of Katrina fame)

Yes Obamaites… the DREAM Act was George W. Bush’s plan.. not Obama’s. Kinda like ObamaCare was really RomneyCare or, more specifically, the Heritage Foundation Care plan. Get over it.

Today Big Business wants their cheap labor to stay exactly where they are and the corporatist Dems and their idiotic minions online and on the street are out in numbers championing Big Business’ wishes with all their heart.

Lindsey Graham Says if You Don’t Support Using DREAMERS as Cheap Labor and Cannon Fodder, “I Don’t Want Your Vote” (AE video)

Lindsey Graham Goes All In for Dream Act Cheap Labor and Cannon Fodder: “if you aren’t for it, I don’t want your vote”

by Scott Creighton

I have come to understand that Comprehensive Immigration Reform is absolutely essential for our national security (cannon fodder) and our economic viability (cheap labor)Lindsey Graham

Lindsey Graham has come out for the Dream Act in a big way saying to South Carolina republicans “if you aren’t for it, I don’t want your vote

“To the people who object to this, I don’t want you to vote for me because I cannot serve you well” Lindsey Graham

I guess Lindsey understands how totally rigged the election system in South Carolina is so he’s not actually worried about being voted out of office for throwing down the gauntlet on a subject his base is totally opposed to. If you would like to know more about the election rigging in South Carolina, feel free to read my coverage of the Alvin Greene story.

That’s the length the South Carolina Democratic Party went to in order to make sure the REPUBLICAN won. And that was in 2010. So all these folks talking about how the Dems don’t WANT to win if a centrist corporate doesn’t represent their party… well, those folks are only about 7 YEARS behind. The Alvin Greene case made that shit perfectly clear.

But anyway, moving on…

Lindsey delivered a little monologue yesterday in which he made it very clear that President Trump could, if he wanted to, convince his dedicated base that the Dream Act of 2017 is the right thing to do.

“What has changed? You have a president who could in a snap of his fingers get the Republican Party united more than Bush could – persuade people who feel threatened by illegal immigrants that they’re going to take their jobs and commit crimes against their family and persuade them that this is a fair thing to do unlike President Obama was able to do. What has changed? A man in the White House who could take the people who object the most and with a coherent, from-the-heart speech change everything,” Lindsey Graham

Lindsey seems to have a pretty high opinion of Trump’s powers of persuasion. Thinks The Donald could simply “snap his fingers” and folks who have opposed this measure for the past 12 years or so would suddenly “see the light” and embrace cheap labor for Big Business and cannon fodder for the war machine like a social justice warrior embraces an androgynous latte master at Starbucks.

Oh… you don’t know about the “cannon fodder” and “cheap labor” thingies? Well then, let me explain…
