638 Ways to Kill Castro

by Scott Creighton

The Worship of Mammon - De Morgan 1909

This film was shown on the BBC channel 4 some 3 and a half years ago. It details all the various CIA/Big Business backed assassination attempts on Fidel Castro’s life from exploding soft-balls to sea-shell bombs and even “beard killing foot powder”.

But perhaps the most disturbing aspect of the film is what it shows us about how terrorists (real, admitted, self-described terrorists) are not only pampered and protected by the U.S. but also accepted and even admired by a certain class of U.S. citizen who claim outright that anything, even terrorism, is acceptable “in a war”.

But this was never a “war”.

Killing Castro was always about regaining control of the wealth of a little country so they could exploit it and killing a man who dared to rise to power with the intent to improve the lives of the working and the poor of his country.  This is an ideological “war” where the business class and the politically connected will resort to the worse forms of terrorism in order to do one thing and one thing only… enrich themselves.
