Missing Text Messages: Was Peter Strzok Part of the “Secret Society” that Wrote BS “Grizzly Steppe” and “Russian Meddling” Reports?

by Scott Creighton

“We learned today from information that in the immediate aftermath of his election that there may have been a ‘secret society’ of folks within the Department of Justice and the FBI to include Page and Strzok to be working against him.” Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Tx)

When I heard those words and started investigating this article… other words echoed in the back of my mind. Words uttered by a president many years ago.

“The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings”

It was recently announced that the FBI informed congressional investigators that they had accidentally “lost” 5 months worth of text messages between agents Peter Stzok and Lisa Page. The missing texts covered the period between Dec. 14, 2016, and May 17, 2017.

These two agents are being investigated due to some previous communications between them that came to light a few months ago which indicated they both harbored extremely biased opinions regarding Hillary Clinton (favorable) and Donald Trump (extremely unfavorable) and they seem to suggest they may have acted on those opinions, misusing their authority and privileges as agents working in our intelligence community.

God(,) Trump is a loathsome human,” Lisa Page, Mar. 2016

I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office” — an apparent reference to Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe — “that there’s no way he gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40 . . . . ” Peter Strzok, Aug. 2016

Just went to a southern Virginia Walmart. I could SMELL the Trump support…” Peter Strzok, Aug. 2016

America will get what the voting public deserves.” Peter Strzok

And then there was this exchange:

And maybe you’re meant to stay where you are because you’re meant to protect the country from that menace.” Lisa Page

I can protect our country at many levels, not sure if that helps” Peter Strzok

Page and Strzok were apparently disappointed on election day and soon afterward they were upset about various choices Trump had made for his cabinet. Not the neoliberal billionaires mind you.. but congress critters like Jeff Sessions for Attorney General. They even went so far in one set of messages to suggest they were hoping for a crash and burn regarding Paul Ryan and the entire GOP

Page’s and Strzok’s apparent political sympathies extended to Congress, too. They also wrote messages disparaging House Speaker Paul Ryan, with Page expressing the hope that Ryan “fails and crashes in a blaze of glory” and Strzok responding that the GOP “needs to pull their head out of that *ss. Shows no sign of occurring any time soon.CBS

So we had two individuals working within the FBI in key positions, who saw themselves as some kind of avenging/protecting angels working to right the wrongs of American democracy and perhaps undermine the incoming administration as well as the entire GOP in general.

And Mueller picked Strzok to help with his investigation into Russian collusion in May.

Strzok had been lead investigator into Hillary Clinton’s illegal use of a private email server while serving as Sec. of State. New texts reveal that “investigation” by the FBI and Justice Department was a foregone conclusion long before it officially started.

Representatives for Strzok and Page have declined to comment on the text messages, but some US officials familiar with Strzok’s work have told CNN that his role in the Trump-Russia probe doesn’t neatly fit the public portrayal by critics.

The new tranche of texts show, according to Johnson’s letter, Strzok bemoaning the timing of news that then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch had decided to accept the recommendations of career supervisors in the Justice Department and FBI on the Clinton email matter, just days after Lynch met privately with President Bill Clinton aboard her plane in Phoenix, Arizona. Strzok texted, “(t)iming looks like hell. Will appear to be choreographed.” Page eventually texts back, “And yeah, it’s a real profile in couragw (sic), since she knows no charges will be brought.” CNN

Back in Aug. of 2017, Mueller kicked Strzok off his investigation team without explanation. I covered that move way back then. That was long before the Strzok/Page texts came out in Dec. of that same year. Truth is… Mueller saw this storm coming and wanted to do what he could to minimize the negative effect on the validity and supposed “independence” of his ongoing work. Strzok was reassigned to work in Human Resources… supposedly.

Lisa Page is still getting a nice paycheck from the federal government as well.

With all of that background info out of the way… let’s get to the subject of my article… the questions:

  1. did they pick Strzok to head-up the team who put together the two ridiculous Trump-smearing reports of Dec. 29, 2016 (Grizzly Steppe) and Jan. 6, 2017 (Russian hacking report)?
  2. would the missing text messages prove the biased Strzok headed those witch-hunt “investigations”?

Keep in mind.. even though the Grizzly Steppe investigation has been CLEARLY debunked and shown to be full of misinformation and deliberate disinformation… the “Russian hacking” or “Russian interference” report is still considered in the complicit press to be legitimate and it serves as the baseline foundation of the entire “Russian Collusion” mythology. Were it to go… to be discredited as nothing more than a partisan hack-job put together by a crass, bitter agency troll… then the whole thing falls apart. And that hurts not just the credibility of the “collusion” cult but also the Deep State’s New McCarthyite Cold War 2.0

So there is a lot on the line and just recently CIA Director Pompeo made sure to let everyone know that the Jan. 6 2017 Russian Hacking report is still credible.. in his eyes.

“The Director stands by and has always stood by the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment entitled: Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent U.S. Elections,” the CIA said in a statement when asked for reaction to the president’s remarks. “The intelligence assessment with regard to Russian election meddling has not changed.”

The agency said it would have no further comment.” CNN Nov. 2017

No matter what, the CIA is determined to keep that mythology alive and well and living in the hearts and minds of American citizens. To much at stake I guess.

I covered the Grizzle Steppe BS report back in Dec. of 2016 when it came out. The report was quickly debunked and many problems with it’s sourcing and conclusions were exposed. It was disappeared down the MSM memory hole as quickly as it appeared.

I pointed out, among other things, that the DHS didn’t even stand behind the report as they published this little disclaimer right on the top of each and every page:

“this report is provided “as is” for informational purposes only. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) does not provide any warranties of any kind regarding any information contained within.”

Notice the report was put together by folks at the FBI working with Homeland Security? And notice Homeland Security washed their hands of it? Keep that in mind as you read on.

I also covered the ridiculous Jan. 6 2017 intelligence assessment of Russian interference in our 2016 election.

One thing that is interesting in that report is that they specifically state that much of what they are going to assume about “Russian hacking” in the report came directly from the Dec. 29 2016 report… which was the already debunked Grizzly Steppe report that Homeland Security didn’t stand behind one bit.

Information available as of 29 December 2016 was used in the preparation of this product.” page i under Scope and Sourcing

The report was put together with the help of three separate agencies (not “all 17” like the early propaganda tried to say): the CIA, the NSA and the FBI.

Given the fact that intel from the Dec. 29th report was also used as a foundation for the Jan 6th one and that the FBI was the only agency that participated in both reports, one might assume that at least some of the same agents from the FBI worked on both reports.

It’s also important to remember… the 20 or so agents who worked on the Jan. 6 2017 Russian interference report were “hand picked” for the task according to James Clapper:

“As you know, the I.C. was a coordinated product from three agencies; CIA, NSA, and the FBI not all 17 components of the intelligence community. Those three under the aegis of my former office… The two dozen or so analysts for this task were hand-picked, seasoned experts from each of the contributing agencies.” James Clapper

This is part of what I wrote about the report in May of 2017:

The “intelligence” report released on Jan. 6th, 2017 was not backed by all 17 intel agencies as has been reported ad nausium and in fact, it was produced by a small number of carefully selected agents from within those three agencies. So rather than this report coming from all 17 agencies and being backed by the thousands of agents working within them, in fact, it was produced by 20 or so carefully selected individuals and then signed off on by the likes of James Clapper (who had already lied to congress about surveillance of private citizens in the U.S.), James Comey (who had already supported Clinton’s campaign by refusing to prosecute her for the use of a private email server) and John Brennan (who also lied to congress about spying on congress)

Both reports were ridiculous.

Both reports were cobbled together bullshit hastily tossed together in an effort to undermine the incoming president and demonize Russia for our New McCarthyism 2.0 trend.

Both reports were put together by the FBI apparently or.. some “handpicked’ agents from the FBI

And who better to cobble together some bullshit reports demonizing Russia than Peter Strzok at that time? After all… he was deadly loyal to the Hillary clan and felt a sense of mythic obligation to “protect” (or punish?) American voters from Trump.

And Mueller picked him for his own “Russian collusion” investigation started up in May, right?

It’s my guess that the missing texts from early Dec 2016 to May 2017 were they found would show that Peter Strzok headed up at least the FBI’s contribution to both of those reports and that is why the FBI “accidentally” lost them.

Exposing Strzok’s hatred of Trump or his collusion to aid Hillary Clinton during that “investigation” is one thing. These issues are of a personal basis on his part and potentially could lead to nothing more than the reopening of the Clinton Email investigation. So, in terms of damage, they don’t do much.

However… in terms of derailing our current Russian interference mythology… that’s a very different story. That mythology is at the core of our new cold war. We are still trying our best to undermine Russia’s influence in Syria and the Middle East in general. Russia is currently undermining our efforts to Pivot to Asia via our North Korea propaganda campaign. And generally speaking, Russia has emerged as a major player in the global financing industry which is a threat to the hegemony of the dollar.

In short… as expressed by Trump’s own CIA director… the VERY LAST THING they want too see is the foundation of that mythology ripped out from under our propaganda industry.

Another thing to consider is the fact that the complicit media are already attacking Trump and the “Russian bots” who are reporting on this collusion in defense of our glorious intelligence industrial complex.

The memo (#ReleaseTheMemo) is part of that. And so are these 50,000 or so text messages that are now “missing” from the FBI during that time frame.

If it were shown that this rabid biased partisan hack who had already helped whitewash the criminality of Hillary Clinton was indeed the foundation of these two reports that have served as the basis of the entire Russian interference mythology over the past year.. it would cast our intelligence community into chaos as the American public would finally see them for what they are… a major threat to what’s left of our democracy.

What also might come out of that disclosure may in fact be evidence showing the collusion between the biased intelligence community and our Mockingbird Press… which could cost them their jobs ultimately.

So the complicit media has every motivation to defend our Stasi-like intelligence apparatus even above their typical daily endless Trump-bashing.

For the record: I am no fan of Trump nor am I a supporter of his or his neoliberal agenda. And I certainly didn’t vote for him. But I am a fan of keeping the shadow agencies from turning all their power inward against American political candidates… as you should probably be against as well.

Either way… it looks to me like the reason they dumped all those texts from that particular moment in time was because Strzok was part of the “handpicked” team, or a “secret society”, that cobbled together two bullshit reports in an effort to undermine the incoming president… and to me that is treason.

“The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know” JFK

  1. Lest we forget, the esteemed wife of Peter Strzok was not just an employee of Fusion GPS but was also a CIA agent with a Russian specialty. She spoke fluent Russian and was involved much more than has been revealed.
