One Trick Pony: Once Again… As May’s Conservatives Slip Further in Polls… MORE Terrorism

by Scott Creighton

She’s a one trick pony,
One trick is all that girl will do.
she does one trick only,
Its the principle source of her revenue

You gotta be kidding.

On May 23rd the first article I wrote about the Manchester bombing was titled “As Polls Shift in England and Conservatives Start to Lose Ground… Terrorism ”

“… The Conservatives enjoy a solid lead but it’s been slipping a bit over the past two weeks as the populist anti-austerity, anti-neoliberal message of Jeremy Corbyn resonates with voters tired of the path Britain is traveling down today.

This past weekend saw a major shift in polling numbers as the party manifestos were released to the public and talk of things like “dementia taxes” started.” Scott Creighton, May 23 2017

I included a graph with the article which showed how the lead of the Conservatives had recently taken a dive.

General election LIVE poll

May is marketed as being “tougher on terrorism” than is her Labor Party rival, Jeremy Corbyn, whom the conservative Sun newspaper basically accused of being in league with the terrorists just hours after the Manchester bombing.

Theresa May and the Conservative Party wanted to expand their majority in Parliament which is why she called for this snap election 5 months ago. At that time it looked like they would be successful. But a number of things have derailed their advantage and it seems the people of Britain want the country to abandon her neoliberal austerity direction and try Corbyn’s populist approach instead.

They started taking polls again on May 26th with the last one being published this past Thursday, just one week before the election. This is the kind of news that has been saturating the airwaves across the pond since then:

“Labour is closing the gap with Tories and now stands just three points from Theresa May’s party, a new YouGov poll shows. The poll, commissioned by The Times, found the Conservative lead had slipped dramatically in recent weeks and is now within the margin of error. The figures show the Conservatives on 42 points with Labour close behind on 39.” The Nation, June 1 2017

Friday May 26

The first poll since the Manchester terror attack shows the Tory lead slashed to just five points as Jeremy Corbyn closes in on PM Theresa May...” The Sun, June 3 2017

Wednesday May 31

A shock new poll has predicted Theresa May could lose her majority on June 8, but it has been branded “utter tripe” by experts…

The analysis, published in The Times, puts the Tories on 310 seats, down from the 330 they went into the election with..

Friday June 2:

Women and middle-aged voters appeared to be turning their backs on the Conservatives over the scrapping of free school meals and the dementia tax, an Ipsos MORI poll revealed.

The research carried out for the Evening Standard suggested voters were shifting to Labour who are up to 40per cent, while the Tories are down to 45pc.

Satisfaction in Mrs May has also fallen from 55pc to 43pc – her lowest ratings to date…” The Sun, June 3 2017

“The lead of British Prime Minister Theresa May’s Conservative Party over the opposition Labour Party has narrowed further to six percentage points ahead of Thursday’s national election, according to an Opinium poll for the Observer newspaper” Reuters, June 3 2017

These polls clearly show a major collapse of the Conservative lead since May 15th 2017.

After leading by 20 points they are now essentially even with Labor and look to lose their majority. This is exactly the opposite of what Theresa May and the Conservative Party wanted when they announced the snap elections.

In the wake of these new polls as momentum builds for the Labor Party and election day nears, guess what happens? No seriously. Guess. You’ll never guess. Did you guess “more terrorism”?

You got it.

What’s that song? One Trick Pony?

At London Bridge last night at 10:07pm local time, emergency calls were put out by witnesses and victims saying a white van was speeding across the bridge hitting pedestrians until it crashed in front of a bar on the west side of the river.

An emergency helicopter landed almost immediately on the bridge to take victims to local hospitals.

By 10:16pm the police had shot dead three assailants who reportedly leaped from the van and ran to a nearby restaurant area and started stabbing people.

A picture that has been circulating showing a man on the ground; he appears to have canisters strapped to his body. The Guardian is not showing his face until his identity and connection to the incident has been established.

Reportedly, there are 7 fatalities from this attack. Authorities are not releasing the names of the suspects. The Guardian blurred the image of the assailant’s face to protect his identity for some reason.

Notice they didn’t black out the entire background?

In the wake of the Manchester bombing, Theresa May called for a moratorium on campaigning in honor of the victims. Today she calls for shutting down free speech online:

“We cannot allow this ideology the safe space it needs to breed – yet that is precisely what the internet, and the big companies that provide internet-based services provide,” Ms May said.

“We need to work with allies democratic governments to reach international agreements to regulate cyberspace to prevent the spread of extremist and terrorism planning.” Independent

Theresa May is calling for a global crackdown on the internet. Doing away with “safe spaces” for the “extremists as she calls for “international agreements that regulate cyberspace“.

She also says there is far too much tolerance for “extremists” in Britain. I guess that hearkens back to the Sun article saying Corbyn is a terrorist sympathizer.

Theresa May is calling for giving Big Business the opportunity to “regulate” free speech online to weed out “extremist” ideologies… right before a critical election.

What do you think companies like Google and Verizon consider “extremist”?

Some folks will undoubtedly remain steadfast “coincidence theorists” in spite of the glaring evidence before them. After all, the Conservative Party controls Britain today just as they control all of their terrorist contractors they send to places like Libya and Syria.

I don’t suffer from that particular delusion. Last night I took a break from reading about the new polls to turn on the boob-tube and check out the latest lies they are peddling only to see this attack plastered on every station over here in the States. My first reaction was “You gotta be fucking kidding me”

Here we go again.

Talk about a one trick pony.

  1. Tunnel vision. They aren’t considering an opposite reaction from people not even knowing their scheme like, “Oh, she let another one happen and didn’t catch them in time. Not gonna vote for her now!”

    • true. but her numbers were falling before Manchester and then falling more just before this one. So, looks like they figured on the increase in votes from fear would overcompensate those lost by the “incompetence” theory.

  2. The song, “If you don’t know me by now” by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes comes to mind somehow…

  3. ISIS came out of the CIA’s Al Qaeda franchise called Al Qaeda in Iraq. In 2010 its name was changed to ISIS. Then as Israeli journalists pointed out the embarrassing fact that the English acronym for the Hebrew spelling of Mossad was ISIS (Israeli Secret Intelligence Services abruptly they decided to call their band of mercenaries with their black flags and US M16 assault rifles, IS for Islamic State. What a coincidence that the Palestinians that are being gunned down by the cowardly IDF thugs also use knives! Wonder if MI5 and the IDF get their throwaway knives from the same supplier?
All this grief in England must mean the USA is about due for another Allahu Akbar™ FF special.

  4. GregBacon NAILED IT !
so sowwy folks, the nazis WON !
UK,US,Israel…we are the real devil !

What would “The Greatest Generation” think of us, THE WORST.

Pl Nookk as soon as…expedient. How can we help?

  5. The Sun? the Sun? You mean that tabloid whose main claim to readership are the Page Three Girls? You know the topless cuties that can brighten up even the grayest UK June day.
The Sun? Talk about a rag …

  6. I got this out of you tube just now:

It shows policemen undressing and changing clothes near the crime scene. Also, it shows how policemen didn’t let anyone near the area. It was their territory.
As for Theresa May, in the beggining of her statement she seemed a little bit desperate. It was mostly political and made on purpose to win the next election.
What can you say about someone who will resort to crime to win an election?

    • There is something really fishy about the existence of this video showing the cops changing. I am having a hard time believing that they would actually perform such a group costume-change out in the open, fully aware of observing eyes and cameras… It does not smell right!! At all….

      • In the images, it is noticed that during this procedure, they were picked up by someone who watched them. One of the cops screams for someone to get out of there. In fact, it is very strange that they have done this very openly. However, it also shows some incompetence on the part of those who agreed to do this theater, so that everyone believed in the transmitted version of Arabs with knives attacking people in the middle of the night.

  7. Nice one: Amber Rudd defends UK arms deals with the Saudi regime as “defending Britain” because it’s good for business and industry. In other words, “collateral damage” is perfectly acceptable, whether abroad or at home, since it’s simply already figured into the cost of doing business.
The utter hypocrisy of the prevailing political class in the West is simply mind-blowing at this point…

  8. I saw that weird footage of policemen huddled on the pavement changing out of their uniforms as it was broadcast live on either BBC or Sky news (I forget) as part of their rolling coverage. The cameraman and other onlookers were eventually moved away by other police or security. Is there any obvious explanation for this strange incident?

On a different note I found this as a link to a comment on Craig Murray’s blog. I gather that it’s a screenshot from yesterday’s ‘Independent’ newspaper, which (to quote the commenter) “unfortunately, says all that need be said”:

  9. I watched several of the videos, I hadn’t realized they made the customers stand against the wall with their hands on their heads. What the hell is that about???? I think May and her buds are very afraid of losing and will do anything, such as this to win. This crew had no qualms with killing those who spoke against the Iraq war, I hope JC has his wits about him.

  10. Martial law (if this really does happen) here we come!
