Links to the Full Text of the TPP as Released by New Zealand

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE:The TPP is a disaster for jobs, and environment and our democracy. It is the latest stage in the corporate capture of our society. (It) has less to do with selling more goods, than with rewriting the rules of the global economy in favor of big business. Like the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), 20 years ago, it will be very good for the very richest, and a disaster for everything and everyone else. NAFTA entrenched inequality and caused massive job losses in the USA, and TPP is turbo-charged NAFTA. ” Nick Dearden

UPDATE: The United States has followed suit releasing the full text of the TPP on their own website.

This is straight from the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The full text of the Trans Pacific Partnership “trade” deal.

After the break, all the links from the New Zealand website have been copied and posted. They are links to PDFs. The last link is a zip file of the entire document.

As a Redditor points out, this could be disastrous for the internet:

Internet service providers must give your name if requested by copyright holders:

“Each Party shall provide procedures… that enable a copyright owner that has made a legally sufficient claim of copyright infringement to obtain expeditiously from an Internet Service Provider information in the provider’s possession identifying the alleged infringer, in cases in which that information is sought for the purpose of protecting or enforcing that copyright.”

ISPs must move quickly to remove material with a copyright claim against it:

“these conditions shall include a requirement for Internet Service Providers to expeditiously remove or disable access to material residing on their networks or systems upon obtaining actual knowledge of the copyright infringement”

If your data/material/whatever is pulled down because of a bogus claim, you can’t sue anyone service providers (see /u/Indekkusu below):

“An Internet Service Provider that removes or disables access to material in good faith under subparagraph (a) shall be exempt from any liability for having done so,”

[All pulled from Chapter 18, Annex 18 E/F]

This is a must read. How they are trying to force this upon us. No wonder they are keeping it secret.
