Spot is Awake, Recovering and Can Close his Mouth

Hi all. Just an update.

Spot, the drooling cat, is awake after the procedure and is recovering nicely at the vet right now. He’s doing well, feeling no pain and can close his mouth just fine.

Thanks to all of you who had concerns about him. He will be back tomorrow and I will post photos. Thanks again.

  1. !!!!! Glad to hear this!

  2. Glad that Scott and Spot are on the mend. I just lost my “bubba” cat a couple of years ago, 20 lbs. (before cancer) and almost made it to 20 yrs. When he was almost 19, he caught a mouse. Someone said to me, “Oh, they break your heart, don’t they?” I said, “Yeah, but at least you know you got a heart.” As for those without one, who say you shouldn’t have pets (kids, lives, etc.) if you can’t afford them. Think back before everyone was obsessed by money. People had lots of kids, pets and a houseful of life and some how sacrificed….worked harder, and everything worked out fine. God takes care of little kids and drunks and I’ve been both and can testify to that….so why not pets.

    • Yeah, I love the little bastard. They grow on you. I don’t think he would catch a mouse though. Years ago I found a mouse trapped in a pile of rubble in the backyard. One by one, I took my cats out there to see what they would do with it. I had no intention of letting them harm it, just wanted to show it to them to see what they thought. Spot just sat there looking at it. Then he started looking at the branch that held it in place. Like he was trying to figure out how to set it free. Apparently he wont be needing those canines anyway. I eventually set the little guy free and I’m sure he took off after being visited by the Ghosts of Catmus past, present and future, with no intention to ever come back. Church actually found him. Took me back there and showed him to me. Let’s just say I don’t have the most violent furry family a guy could have. I kinda like that actually. Maybe God was looking out for the mice back then.

  3. Good to hear it. Be well, both of you.

  4. I’m glad to hear Spot is doing better! 🙂
