“Snowden” Pops Back Up on Twitter… CISA is Being Made Ready in the Senate… Go Figure

by Scott Creighton

I wrote about the “Edward Snowden” character rising from the ashes on Twitter yesterday (he now has close to a million followers). They He started up an influence peddling Twitter account for the first time and immediately he had 90k or so personas following him. I wrote (in part):

Of course, we all know by now that the Freedom Act (brought to you by the work of folks like Glenn Greenwald, Laura Poitras and “Edward Snowden”) empowers companies like Verizon to harvest all your data and communications and use them as they see fit. All they need now is the new CISPA (CISA) and they will have their fascist control grid in place. Scott Creighton

So guess what’s happening this week? That’s right… it’s back.

Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky is reportedly believed to be considering resurrecting the controversial bill (CISA), claims The Politico, a DC area political newspaper. Sputnik International

Senate sources are divided on how sure it is that the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act will return this week, but it looks like it’s at least an option. One Senate source told MC that it was “likely.” Another said it was “all very uncertain” and “technically possible, but nothing definitive.” Politico

According to Politico, the House Armed Services Committee’s Emerging Threats and Capabilities subcommittee is having a big cyber security push this week with testimony from all sorts of various alphabet agencies and neocon-looking NGOs (Center for a New American Security and Center for Strategic and International Studies)

I wonder if this has anything to do with it?

Russia’s upper house of parliament on Wednesday approved the country’s armed forces to be used abroad.

The decision includes only the use of the Air Force and does not foresee any ground troops operations, Kremlin Administration Aide Sergei Ivanov said Wednesday.

Syrian President Bashar Assad has turned to Russia with a request for military assistance, according to Ivanov. Sputnik International

Trying to take this site to the next level via video production is taking a bit of time and effort and it’s going to require some equipment I simply don’t have the money to acquire at this time. If you can, please help with that process. Anything you can do will be appreciated. I’m putting off fixing my car in order to facilitate this process. I could certainly use your help. Thanks

Please help keep us up and running if you can.
